In 2007, the renovated park "Tsaritsyno" opened its doors after a large-scale restoration . Risen from the ruins Bread house and the Grand Palace Kazakova . On a well-maintained there were paths and avenues, and a unique light-musical fountain was opened on the Upper Tsaritsynsky pond . Historians, however, were dissatisfied with such restoration, considering as an awkward fantasy restoration of the unfinished palace, the creation of interiors that never existed in the palace, and the fountain at katerininskom park, which is known to the fountains was quite indifferent .

However, the situation for Moscow the last few years the standard: the government restores, flooding the city of remakes, researchers are fighting for the preservation of historical authenticity and stylistic consistency, and people like it. So in Tsaritsyna - a place for walks and wedding photoshoots, it turned out pretty, the benches are not that big, but on the lawns you will not lie, but it's trifles.

A bit of history

The manor in this place is known from the middle of the 17th century under the name "Black Dirt". In the 18th century, the village belonged to the princes of Kantemir, with a greenhouse in the estate where lemons, oranges, peaches, pears, figs, grapes were grown, etc. In 1775, a new stage began in the fate of the estate. Empress Catherine II in this year discovered a house that struck her with beauty and acquired it. The estate was immediately renamed Tsaritsyno

The construction of the imperial residence was entrusted to the architect B . And . Bazhenov . The palaces according to the original plan were four: three - for the empress, one for Grand Duke Pavel Petrovich and his wife . However, financial difficulties left most of the plans unfulfilled . Bazhenov was soon dismissed, the palace he had already erected was dismantled and further construction continued under the leadership of M . F . Kazakova . With him was erected the building of the Grand Palace, which remained, however, unfinished . Under Paul I all the works in Tsaritsyn were stopped, and the palace stood unfinished for two hundred years, decrepit and collapsing, like the rest of the buildings in the estate .

By the beginning of the 1890s, x . Tsaritsyno turned into one of the most popular and prestigious suburban suburban areas . After the revolution of 1917, the Council of Peasants 'and Soldiers' Deputies was located here . In 1960 Tsaritsyno, like other territories within the MKAD, became a part Moscow and a new era of his history began . Pro The Tsaritsyn scientific restoration project was developed back in the late 1960s, but it did not reach the practical realization. . In 1993, Tsaritsyn was awarded the status of a state museum-reserve . Until 2001 . restoration of all Bazhenov's buildings was being carried out, except for Khlebny at home . In 2004 the . museum passes under the management of the Government of Moscow and its latest history is being created .

Museum and sights Tsaritsyna

  • The Grand Palace Kazakova is made in the style of classicism, but with a large number of pseudo-gothic elements (towers, pointed arches). The central part seems to be the main one, but it is much narrower than the lateral volumes and serves, rather, as a gallery connecting the two wings of the palace. The palace exhibits museum expositions, exhibitions and concerts are held.
The Grand Palace Kazakova is made in the style of classicism, but with a large number of pseudo-gothic elements (towers, pointed arches).
  • Bread house with a palace connects a decorative arch-gallery, which does not carry any functional load. Reminiscent of the North Italian palazzo Kitchen building was intended for all kinds of utility rooms. Now here are the main expositions of the Tsaritsyno museum-preserve, the atrium on the site of the open courtyard is used for concerts and exhibitions.
  • The temple of the icon of the Mother of God "The Life-giving Spring" was built in 1722 on the site of the wooden church of the Golitsyn estate. Later, twice completely rebuilt, the last restoration was completed in 1998
  • The Small Palace is located on a hill in the shape of a pyramid and fits perfectly into the landscape. A small structure is more like a park pavilion than a palace. Only a magnificent white-stone emblem with a monogram of the Empress in the rays of glory, crowning the facade, speaks of the special purpose of the building.
  • The middle palace (Opera house) - one of the best buildings of Bazhenov - resembles a carved, hard-to-decorate casket for jewelry. Music, contrary to the name, did not sound in it until the end of the 20th century.
  • A large bridge across the ravine is the largest of the surviving bridges of the 18th century. Built with incredible difficulties on the unstable ground bridge was used for its intended purpose until 1975.
The big bridge across the ravine is the largest surviving bridge of the XVIII century.
  • A figurine bridge, located on a steep hillside, when entering through it to the right moment, hides the panorama of the palace complex, ensuring its sudden opening before the amazed spectator. The bridge was well preserved at the beginning of the restoration work in the late 80's.
  • Cavalry corps appeared in the XIX century, and their purpose remains unclear until now. No documents on their account have survived.

Interesting alleys of the park in Tsaritsyno. March 31, 2014

In addition to all the famous and visited places in Tsaritsyno, such as the Grand Palace, Bread House and Greenhouses, there are many remarkable and interesting architectural masterpieces that are undoubtedly worthy of attention for everyone who decided to take a walk in the park.
Almost next to the western wing of the Bolshoi are the Small and Middle palaces, and behind them the marvelous construction of the Vine Gates. If you go through them a little farther, then you get to the Pavilion "Milovid", whose name speaks for itself ... Read the whole review
