Phuket International Airport is located on the island of the same name. This is the second largest in terms of passenger traffic aero node of Thailand. It is 32 km from the city center, near the beaches of Nai Yang, May Khao, Sai Keo.
The airport complex includes two terminals - for international and domestic flights.
How to get here
You can reach the center of Phuket by bus, minivan (minibus) or taxi .If you need not the city itself, but, say, a specific hotel, then you should take a taxi .The fact is that public buses will take you to the city, but to get to the hotel, you need to make a transfer .Minivans run to popular beaches and for a fee to the farthest beaches .But the taxi will take you right away to the right place .At the airport there is an official Taxi meter service, the travel cost is calculated by the counter .Keep in mind that in the airport building and near it there is a huge number of barkers who will offer taxi services .Those who "hunt" for tourists in the airport, the prices are higher by 200-400 rubles compared to those drivers who offer their services outside the building .
Of course, taxi drivers need to be on the alert. Very often they offer a low price, but instead of immediately delivering you to the desired point, they will transport to the surrounding shops and restaurants. Prices in them will not be expensive, since the cost of goods already laid commission to the taxi driver. So it's better to agree on the cost of the trip at once and very clearly.
If you want to save money, you should go on a minivan or a bus. In the airport building there are racks where you can buy a ticket for a minivan that will take you to the right beach. Prior to Patong and Kalima, travel costs 150-180 baht (approximately 135-170 rubles).
To go by public bus there is no special sense, because in the price you practically will not win anything, and time will spend more. The bus to Phuket runs every hour, the fare to the final stop is 90 baht (81 rubles). At the final stop you will need to change the bus to the beach. The ticket costs 25-50 baht (22-45 rubles).
