Only one airline - Rusline - flies from Moscow to Cheboksary and back. Air travel will cost you 15,000 rubles there and back. Departures are made from Domodedovo airport.

For comparison: from Kazan station of Moscow to Cheboksary you can get for 12-14 hours from 1,600 rubles in both directions in a sitting car, from 3,000 rubles - in a reserved seat and approximately for 9,500 rubles in a compartment. St. Petersburg-Cheboksary

The same company "Rusline" makes flights to Cheboksary from St. Petersburg. The cost is slightly lower than for Moscow flights - from 14,700 rubles, the flight time in one direction is 2 hours 10 minutes. Variants with transplants do not make sense - it will only be more expensive.

You will hardly be able to save much if you decide to go to Cheboksary by train. The fact is that the cost of tickets in the compartment car back and forth will cost you about 13,500 rubles.
