Rasun-Anterselva or Rasen-Antholz (nem .Rasen-Antholz, ital .Rasun-Anterselva) is another Italian-German town in South Tyrol, which is part of the Val-Pusteria valley .Local residents here are extremely patriotic views and flatly refuse to learn a second language that would allow them to freely communicate with their neighbors .And all because historically this region for a long time could not be divided among themselves Germans / Austrians and Italians .The only thing that unites the Italian and German-speaking population is the love of biathlon .After all, it is in Anterselva that the world-famous "Sudtytrol-Arena" stadium is located, which 22 years out of 26 took the Biathlon World Cup stages .

How to get here
Anterselva is located almost on the border with Austria, 110 km northeast of Trento and 60 km northeast of Bolzano, in the Dolomites. It is most convenient to get here by plane to Innsbruck (130 km), or to Bolzano, from where buses run to the resort.

Biathlon in Anterselva
Biathlon is the most long-awaited, bright, noisy and unforgettable event that has been taking place at the resort for many years in a row (in 2010, only 4 stages out of 26 did not take place at the local Arena). It's no wonder that not only all the residents of the town, but also fans of this sport from all over the world are eager to visit this event. Typically, during the World Cup in Anterselva sold subscription, which allows you to see all the races from convenient places (in 2010 it cost a little more than 100 euros).
Standing directly along the tracks could be 20 EUR cheaper, if you take individual tickets for each specific day, their cost will hardly exceed 10-30 EUR (depends on the popularity of the race). Free of charge is traditionally for children under 12 years old, and discounts are given to all frantic biathlon fans who come to the Cup stage as part of official fan club delegations.
Areas
Anterselva is divided into three village-districts: Anterselva di Sotto (Anterselva di Sotto, 1135 m), Anterselva di Mezzo (Anterselva di Mezzo, 1250 m) and Anterselva di Sopra (1600 m).
The first is in a large natural basin, rich in chic alpine meadows and traditional farmhouses, decorating their tiled roofs and an already beautiful landscape. In Anterselva di Sotto, the population barely reaches 500, but there is also a small recreation park, a fragrant bakery and a small grocery store.
Anterselva di Mezzo is on the road from di-Sotto to the lake at an altitude of 1250 m and is slightly larger. After all, here from generation to generation there are already about 700 anterseltsem - this is the largest village of the valley. There is also a recreation park, several cafes, a shop, a souvenir shop, as well as a bakery, post office and a shopping area where crafts of local craftsmen are sold.
Anterselva di Sopra is a miniature village with 120 inhabitants, where tourists have nothing to do.
Slopes
Just a couple of kilometers from Anterselva are the luxurious slopes of Kronplatz with 31 lifts and everything you need for a great holiday: slopes, cross country tracks, fan parks and après-ski.
In Anterselva di Mezzo there is also a lift Riepenlift, which is usually occupied by children and beginners who begin their first steps here on strange and terribly slippery pieces of plastic with two sticks (we are about skis, if that). Near the lake Anterselva there is a route for toboggan, routes for snowshoes and just for virgin lands are laid.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Anterselva
Lake Anterselva (1640 m) is an untouched nature, picturesque beaches and proximity to the Vedrette National Park. Noteworthy are the churches of the town, for example, Santa Valpurga, Baroque San Giordio (1798) in Anterselva di Mezzo and San Giuseppe in Anterselva di Sopra. Photo by Anterselva (11)
