Snowman

Since 2012, on the initiative of the International Ski Federation, World Snow Day is celebrated. In 2015, the date of the celebration was chosen on January 18.

The aim of the World Snow Day is to increase the interest of tourists to winter types of spurs and to involve young people in a healthy lifestyle. On January 18, snow holidays will take place, during which children and adults will be able to ride on skis, snowboards and skates. The date is not chosen by chance: the holiday will help attract tourists to winter resorts after the high season associated with the New Year holidays.

In 2015, the event will be attended by 38 countries. For the first time World Snow Day will be held in China, Mongolia and Armenia. The holiday will not bypass the party and Russia: January 18 events are planned in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm Krai and some other regions.
