This ancient city is known today primarily due to the Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world (the royal family lives there, of course). On the other bank of the Thames is the twin city of Eaton, the alma mater of the British establishment.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Windsor
Windsor Castle, despite the status of the royal residence, is for the most part open to visitors. Its main highlights are State apartments with a rich collection of paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Gainsborough, as well as the church of St. George. The town hall is famous for its columns, which do not support the portico at all, as it seems at first, but end at a considerable distance from the roof, clearly demonstrating the consequences of disagreements between the architect and the municipal authorities.
You can walk in nature in the nearby Grand Park. It is worth visiting and the neighboring Eton, especially his college, where they absorb the knowledge of the offspring of the noble Britons. Children will be interested in the Legoland theme park.
- Wander around the castle, will suddenly happen to see her Highness Queen of Britain?
- Visit the amusement park Legoland, where you can scream and laugh, and generally behave like a small child.
Fans of ceremonial spectacles should guess their visit to Windsor Castle by 11:00, when there is a change of guard.
