Expert reviews and reviews on hotels in Sousse

Hotels in Sousse
Alexandra Azarova
The most remote, populous and democratic resort of Tunisia, whose population in the summer months is over a million, thus almost catching up with the country's capital, Sousse proudly occupies a central place on the eastern Tunisian coast .And not only in a geographical sense - this resort city offers tourists the largest number of hotels that are lined up in two, and sometimes in three rows along the surf line for almost 20 kilometers .It's no wonder that the beach-and-carbon life here is really boiling: a crazy number of restaurants, nightclubs and discos, a lot of shops and markets, just two ports - urban and pleasure yachts ... in a word, the classic tourist resort giant, hotels and entertainment centers .
Like Hammamet and Monastir, the resort Suss actually consists of two parts: the city itself and the approaches to it (most of the hotels here were built in the late 80's - early 90's) and the tourist area of Port El Kantaoui, where hotels are more modern and luxurious, and shops and entertainment centers favorably differ from the urban European scale.

As a consequence, the closer to the center of Sousse, the more "ancient", artless and inexpensive the hotels will be (with the possible exception of the exquisite masterpiece of the local hotel fund - the newly constructed "five" Movenpick) and, in turn, the vast majority of quality hotels are located in Port El Kantaoui .The semantic center of the latter is the marina, where fish restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops are open, various water excursions can be ordered here, so this area is even more diverse in the sense of the "post-meal" program .

As for the sea and the beach, Sousse is not the best choice for demanding fans of sun and sea baths. Despite the fact that the coastline is wide enough, the sea is not always clean, and the closer to the city, the more clearly it is visible.

Who likes Sousse hotels

The absolute majority of Sousse tourists are young people, for a rich holiday, all conditions are created here. In terms of placement, you can choose as a budget "treshka" for "all inclusive" (and even "kopeck piece" is here), and a quality four-star hotel, and in all respects a decent "five". Most of the local hotels, however, are three- and four-star hotels.

A distinctive feature of the resort Suss - multi-storey hotels of 9 or more floors, which you will not find, say, in Mahdia, or in Hammamet.

VIP tourists can be offered only a few accommodation options - for example, in the aforementioned "Movenpick" or in the RIU chain hotels and the "five" Orient Palace (the latter are slightly inferior to the service).

The absolute majority of Sousse tourists are young people, for full relaxation all conditions are created here.

Families with children, as a rule, prefer the network hotels El Mouradi - there are "troika", and "four", and "five". They offer very good animation throughout the day, several hotels have water slides.

A characteristic feature of Sousse - a large number of visitors from the "fraternal republics" - Algeria and Libya - in search of fun and inaccessible at home resort entertainment. So it's worth to be prepared that in the hotel you can be in the company of not only European tourists, but also Arab youths, numerous families with children, etc.

Well, we can not fail to note that, in terms of a variety of vice and debauchery, Sousse is also ahead of Tunisia in all. This does not mean that you will be offered grass and girls at every step, but this kind of reputation in the country is fixed.
