Transport
In the city you can move on trishaws, three-wheeled tuk-tuk and in sing-teo - open pick-ups used as a taxi. The color of the machines means a route: for example, the red cruise through the Old City. There are also minibuses of white, yellow, blue and green colors. The fare is about 20 THB.
Tuk-tuki in Chiang Mai are more popular than taxis. The fare in them varies from 30 to 100 THB depending on the length of the route. The city is also visited by tricycles, outwardly similar to tuk-tukami. Catching a taxi on the street is impossible: they are called by phone.
You can rent a motorcycle or a bicycle: the first will cost with insurance in the 100-700 THB per day depending on the model, and the second will cost from 30 THB per day.
There are car hire points at the airport and in the city center. The average cost is from 1200 to 2000 THB per day.

Chiang Mai is considered the second gastronomic capital of Thailand after Bangkok, and "taxis" in it the culinary school of the north of the country.
