History and Culture
History Idra is enough tragic. Being a part of Norway, after the end of the Thirty Years' War between Denmark and Sweden, the village was occupied by the Swedes and, following the results of the Peace of Bricebrook in 1645, became the property of the latter. Further events had little impact on this event, and Norway finally recognized the territorial borders in 1751.
How to get to Idra
Flight to Stockholm, then by bus or train to the town Mora. From there, there is a bus to Idra.

The minimum cost of a second-class Intercity train ride is 280 kroons, the minimum cost of a first class trip is 434 crowns. By bus
Buses from Stockholm to Mora do not go often. From the central bus station (Stockholm Cityterm) there is usually one, sometimes two times a day there are regular buses. Travel time is almost four and a half hours. The minimum fare is 239 kroons. Transport is dispatched at different times, depending on the day of the week. A rarity is the morning route. After arriving in the city of Mora you will need to take a bus to Idra. Since the timetables for local transport and trains or buses from Stockholm are not closely related, but you will need to spend a certain amount of time planning the route. Buses from Mora depart once a day. The journey takes 2 hours 52 minutes, or 6 hours. Such a huge difference is due to the fact that in the second case it will be necessary to make two transplants.
