Steeper only the eggs
What is Spain? Beach vacation? A mind-blowing corrida, passionate flamenco or madness of the island of Ibiza? Maybe the best football in the world? Or maybe it's a dream?
Guided by a dream, I went on a tour to Costa Daurada, having clear intentions to enjoy the abundance of seafood, the sun, the sea and other delights of the usual rest for an average tourist . I will say right away that for me this dream has become a reality, but in literally "touch", catch the dream by the tail, I happened in Barcelona . Having reached the first train to Barcelona Sants station, we walk to the Plaza of Spain, meeting us with two 47-meter copies of the Campanile from the Venetian square of San Marco . Here begins about pect Queen Mary-Christina, leading to a giant staircase to the hill . The central location of the avenue is occupied by the Magic fountain: dancing with the music of a stream of water with electric lighting . The greatness of the National Museum, to which the avenue leads, brings to mind the past centuries, their uniqueness and immeasurable value for the modern world, in the majority of "masterpieces" of which is stored electronically and it is not clear how it will be transferred to the descendants .
Rambla |
Not far from here is the University of Barcelona. In his lovely garden, in the shade of trees, you can accidentally lose a lot of time watching the wonderful colorful fish in artificial ponds. From the University, it is within easy reach of Plaça Catalunya - the heart of the city, where several metro lines and the railway intersect. There is also an official store of the football club Barca, where you can buy a pair of caps and T-shirts with the symbols of the club
From the Plaza Catalunya we go down to the sea on the most famous street of Barcelona La Rambla . Walking along it, you understand why Maugham called this place is the most beautiful street in the world! Each part of it lives its own history . Without Ramble, the city would be deprived of a shade of some frivolity . A lot of street restaurants and hotels side by side with souvenir shops and street actors . For a modest reward left in an impromptu piggy bank, this the street comes alive with the statues of Picasso himself, Aphrodite, clowns and even stolen street thieves stoned .
There is everything to interest everyone, everything is done for the convenience of people. Pleased with the lack of parked cars on the street. They are all underground! Here, in some unimaginable way, the urban landscapes and architectural monuments of past centuries, especially the creations of Antonio Gaudi, are combined in an unimaginable way.
There is not enough words to describe his masterpieces: it really needs to be seen. In his buildings there is something mystical, as in the history of the great architect himself, miraculously surviving under the yoke of a serious illness, doomed to loneliness, but a man of a genius and attached to the saints' face. The most amazing thing about his work is the Sagrada Familia, the building of which Gaudi devoted 37 years of his life. The construction was carried out exclusively on the donations of the townspeople, and Gaudi often walked the streets with a mug for alms: it was for him a kind of service.
Mad and ingenious, Antonio Gaudi did not recognize the right forms: his creations did not have a single right angle, he all designed in intricate curved contours. He considered the egg an ideal! He argued that it is the strongest that can only be, and always carried with it in his pocket.
