Spain can not help but likes colorful and bright it attracts the gentle sea, attracts the greatness of its mountains and conquers the openness of its inhabitants. Of course, the first impression of the country is at the airport. It is here that for the first time, Spain will be pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, friendly staff, simplicity and safety.

The largest airport in Catalonia is located about 12 km south-west of the center of Barcelona. Equipped with three runways, it annually receives about 20 million passengers from Vueling Airlines and Clickair, Spanair, Air Europa and Iberia Airlines.

Airport Infrastructure

At the moment there are two T1 and T2 terminals operating at the airport. Terminal T2 includes three sectors A, B and C. Between the terminals, it is quite easy to move around: free buses run here. You can take your luggage to the luggage room in sector B. How to get to the city

By RENFE train or commuter train it is possible to get to the city quickly and cheaply. The train departs from the platform at the airport every 30 minutes from 6 am to 12 noon. The ticket can be bought here at the ticket office or in special vending machines for 3 Euros, avoiding the queue. The trip lasts about 25 minutes. The train makes three stops: Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gracia and Clot. From here almost all metro lines and bus routes diverge. Remember, there is no direct exit from Terminal No. 1, not a platform, you will have to make a small trip by a free bus.

There is an airport bus stop in front of each terminal, Aerobus, connecting the airport and the city center every 12 minutes. Buses run from 6:00 am to 1:00 am. The ticket will cost about 5 Euro. Like the train, the bus makes three stops: Plaça Espanya, Gran Via / Urgell, Plaça Universitat. If you are unlucky and you flew in the night, do not despair: you can get to Plaza España by bus number 106, which leaves from the airport every hour.

A long taxi queue will wait for you immediately at the exit from the airport. What kind of yellow car you will get, determines the traffic control officer airport. If you still decide to go by taxi, we recommend that you bring along a printout with the name of the hotel and its address in Spanish. The trip will be calculated by the meter, usually the journey time does not take more than 10-15 minutes. Including the number of occupied places and luggage, the cost will be approximately 30 Euro. Prices are for 27.07.2011

Upon arrival in Barcelona, the airport could not be assessed, as we were already waiting for the guide. But to assess the "El-Prat" on the return flight was obtained in full. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours, but all the passengers were standing at the check-in counter, we were told not to leave there, because the registration can start any minute. After the long-awaited registration and hitting the waiting room, we discovered one unpleasant peculiarity of the airport. Exactly from 11 pm at the airport does not work any shop and cafe. In the waiting room ... Read the whole review

Barcelona's El Prat Airport has two terminals, between which there is a free shuttle bus. At the same time, keep in mind that if only 5 minutes from terminal 1 to terminal 2 go, then the return journey will take at least 20. The airport is huge, in each terminal there are a large number of stores. including the most famous brands, restaurant patios, where McDonald's dominates, for the convenience of passengers equipped with moving tracks. If the gate is one of the most remote, the road to it reaches ... Read the full review

At the airport in Barcelona were June 14 (the day of arrival) and June 28 (on the day of departure) in 2014. Upon arrival, passport control passed quickly and briefly waited for luggage. Everything is positive. The only thing that caught my eye was bad lighting in the baggage claim area and a frankly dirty transport tape. That is, even if the suitcase was kept relatively clean up to the tape, on it, it had every chance of becoming thoroughly dirty. Those who did not have time to wrap their luggage with film were, to put it mildly, surprised by the service.

We arrived from Riga to Terminal 2. I read from the guidebook that from the airport to the Plaza of Spain there is a city bus 46. The final 46 bus is on the neighboring parallel peron from the stop Aerobus (commercial cost is 6 euros per person), so we had a goal - to find a city bus for 1 euro. Look at the arrow indicators SALIDA (exit), Bus, Bus 46. I went to the corner showcase of the information, I wanted to find out where to buy tickets for the Bus-metro. Opposite to this item of information ... Read full review

In Barcelona, I flew in the daytime. Evaluate the arrival of all the advantages of the Spanish airport was not possible, because the tourists after all the procedures for verification is already waiting for the guide. I can only notice that there were no big queues, somehow everything passed quickly without delay. What is remarkable in the number of customs officers are many women.
I spent more time at the airport after rest. Initially, it was difficult to navigate where to go, on which scoreboard to watch ... Read the entire review
