One of the most ancient and most beautiful cathedrals of Vladimir is Dmitriyevsky Cathedral, built in 1194-1197. and famous for its white stone carvings. The walls of the cathedral are decorated with bas-reliefs depicting saints and mythical animals, most of which were preserved in their original form.

Another no less significant monument of Russian architecture is the Assumption Cathedral of the 12th century with preserved fragments of frescoes made in the 19th century. The Assumption Cathedral is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site "White stone monuments of Vladimir and Suzdal."

One of the best architectural monuments of the 18th century in Vladimir is the Trinity Church erected in 1740, and the most unconventional of all surviving churches is the Archangel Michael Church of Archangel Mikhail, built in 1891.
