How to get to Dmitrov
The train from Savelovsky Station goes for about an hour and a half. Several trains per day follows to Dmitrov from Odintsovo, Golitsyno and Kubinka. In Moscow, you can sit on them not only at Savelovsky Station, but also at stations near the metro station Fili and the Begovaya metro station.
Bus No. 401 from Altufievo departs every half hour, from 06.45 to 22.00, the schedule on weekdays differs from the weekend schedule. In early July 2011, new comfortable air-conditioned buses were launched along the route.

Dmitrovsky Kremlin
Once the fortifications of the Kremlin were high earthen ramparts (which have survived to this day) with log walls, surrounded by a moat with lift bridges. The stone Kremlin never did, and the wooden fortifications were burned in the Time of Troubles and were not restored.

The Moscow channel
The canal, a grandiose engineering and technical structure connecting the Moscow River with the Volga, was laid for 4 years and 8 months (from 1932 to 1937), and completely changed the urban landscape. The history of construction is tragic, it was carried out by a special unit of the GULAG, Dmitlag, created in Dmitrov, and a countless number of human lives were carried out. Since then, there are no water shortages in Moscow, and Dmitrov has become a large cargo port.
Peremilovskaya height
At 1, 5 kilometers from Dmitrov, on the bank of the canal is the memorial "Peremilovskaya altitude" - a bronze soldier who rushed to the attack. It was here in 1941 during the bloody battles the advance of the fascist troops to the east was stopped.
