One of the nights of 1956 marked the beginning of the famous "Contemporary" .April 15, exactly at midnight, the graduates of the Moscow Art Theater School showed their independent work - the play "Forever Alive" based on the play by Victor Rozov .And only two years later it was officially announced the creation of the theater-studio Sovremennik .In 1970, the theater was close to closing: the role of strict censorship and the departure of the main director Oleg Efremov played this role .The leadership of the creative team was undertaken by Galina Volchek .And "Contemporary" survived, moreover, collects the full halls so far .
