Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve is located on the bank of the Oka River in the Moscow region. This is the only state reserve in the Moscow region. During the entire time of the existence of the Prioksko-Terrasny reserve, about 600 thoroughbred bisons were born here. They are released into the forests of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania.
In the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve there is an unusual program called "Adopt a Bison". Any person, a group of friends or an organization can "adopt" a beloved bison and thus ensure its annual maintenance. Foster "parents" independently choose a name for the ward and even come to the parents' meetings, where they receive a full report on the expenditure of the funds provided.
To keep one bison in the reserve during the year requires a round sum - 50 thousand rubles. Unfortunately, state funding is not enough. That is why since 2004 the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve together with the WWF Wildlife Fund have opened such a program. The money goes for the purchase of food, medicine, construction and repair of cages

The address of the Prioksko-Terrasny reserve: Moscow region, Serpukhov district, Danki market place . You can get by car and public transport . If you are going on a tour by car, then you need to go from Moscow to the south along the Warsaw Highway (E-95), then follow the Simferopol (M2) and after passing the index 97 km, turn right at the sign "Serpukhov / Danki" . Excursions in the reserve are conducted daily, from nine to 15 hours a day, without days off. The cost of an adult ticket is 200 rubles, the children's ticket is 100, preschool children are free, children with disabilities, orphans, participants in all hostilities receive a 50 percent discount. Do not forget to bring the necessary document. Groups of more than 10 people are accepted by appointment. It is forbidden to take pets with you on a tour.
You can ride a pony and fly in a balloon on the territory of the Prioksko-Terrasniy Reserve. In addition, there is a small shop where you can buy souvenirs.
