The old part of the city of Gus-Khrustalny is a settlement of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. In the southern, older part of the village is a crystal plant. On the other side of the pond by the end of the 19th century. The second, northern half of the village has grown. Now Gus-Khrustalny is one of the regional centers of the Vladimir region, known abroad and in our country as the center of domestic glass-making.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Gus-Khrustalny
St. George's Cathedral (Kalinina Street, 2a) was built in 1904 in pseudo-Russian style according to the Benois project. After the revolution, the cathedral was rebuilt (in particular, it lost the dome), however, the layout and exterior decoration were preserved. Inside the building you can see a huge canvas "The Last Judgment" by Vasnetsov. There is a crystal museum in the cathedral, which gathered the plant's products from the middle of the 18th century to our time (here it's worth buying crystal souvenirs).
Not far from the cathedral are allocated the so-called "Maltsovsky houses" - one- or two-story red-brick buildings built for workers in the crystal factory in the late 19th century.
