What is the weather like in Moscow in October?

Responds to Information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
In October in Moscow, golden autumn reigns. In the first half of the month it is still warm and sunny, the air (in the norm) remains warm, on average + 10-12 degrees. The nights cool down to about + 5-7. But from the second decade of October the temperatures begin to decrease smoothly and at the end of the month at night it is + 2-4, often 0, and in the daytime + 3-6.

Foliage from the trees by this time flies almost all, sometimes in the last days of October it falls snow. It melts quickly, because the earth has not yet cooled sufficiently, and the morning frosts on the soil are so rare. But it is not uncommon for small, prolonged rains, dampness and low clouds. The relative humidity of the air and the amount of precipitation becomes less than in September, this is due to a general decrease in temperature.

The current weather for the next few days can be found on the "Weather in Moscow" page.
