The shops and art galleries "Cepelia" (Cepelia) are opened by the same fund, whose goal was to support, preserve and promote folk art and crafts, as well as handicrafts. The Foundation received its own registered trademark in 2001, and now this recognizable "cockerel on a stick" is associated with the best quality souvenir and gift products from Poland.
The Foundation has been operating for more than 50 years, and thanks to its activities, including the guests of Warsaw can see (and purchase) in one place traditional products from different regions of the country. The Foundation protects several creative ensembles and constantly conducts various events in support of folk art. Besides, there are quite a lot of production enterprises and cooperatives working under the trademark "Tsepelia."
In total there are about 60 "Cepelia" shops in Poland in different cities. They can buy fabrics, ceramic products, glassware and amber, jewelry, leather hand-made articles and souvenirs of all kinds. But "Zepelia" in Warsaw is not just souvenir shops, but art salons. They sell real, inexpensive and unique pieces of art: hand laces, costumes, embroideries, woolen things, sculptures, paintings.
