Where is the Russian border with Norway?

Answer information department of "Tourism Subtlety"
As the geography school course reminds us, Norway borders on Sweden, Finland and Russia. We are interested in the Russian border, passing by land and sea. The land part is small, a little less than 200 km, passes along the mainland to the Barents Sea. It separates the administrative district (in Norwegian called the county) from Finnmark, Norway, and the Murmansk region, Russia.

The posts along it, including the Storskog-Borisoglebsky checkpoint, are marked with striped red-green columns with Russian side and yellow and black tops from Norwegian . In the sea columns are difficult to put, and the water boundary area between the two countries has been disputable for a long time . It was about 175 thousand square km, on which there is a promising shelf rich in hydrocarbons . At present, the issue has been resolved, a new compromise maritime boundary dividing the disputed territory almost in half has been established 7 . 06 . 2011 and will become operational 7 . 07 . 2011 .
