From standard resorts of a sports orientation Kolasin differs in that the architectural heritage of the city is no less valuable and curious .It is worth paying attention to the monastery of Moraca, an example of architecture of the 13th century .The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin cherishes in its walls a masterful fresco, especially valuable is the famous cycle, which tells of the prophet Elijah, as well as rare icons of the 17th century .The ensemble of the monastery includes the churches of St. Nicholas and Archdeacon Stefan .The Kolasin Museum of Local History can boast a vast ethnographic, historical and artistic collection .
In addition to the ornate ski slopes, you can devote the time to rest for a visit to the National Park, the territory of which extends to the city. Especially appreciate the natural beauty of lovers of ecotourism, because in walking distance are the oldest forests in Europe. The epicenter of forest resources is Belasitsa, and the pearl of the reserve is Biogradskoe Lake, one of the largest among the five glacial lakes, on the shore of which it is possible to rent a cottage for a few days.
