Are non-smoking Maltese really rare?

Responds to Svetlana Vella
No, I would not. I did not notice that smoking in Malta was erected in the cult.
Responds to Information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
Officially, public places in Malta are banned from smoking, but in fact, you can not smoke only in closed public areas, unless there is a special hood. The impression that everyone smokes in Malta (this can often be heard from travelers) is that there are really many smokers on the streets, you can smoke at public transport stops, and Malta itself is considered one of the most densely populated countries in the world.

If you do not find special places for smoking, specify where it can be done: the smokers here are tolerated. At the same time, local residents are officially allowed to report anonymously to owners of establishments where there are no hoods and smoke. The police carefully checks such messages.
