Which city is now considered the capital of Jordan?

Responses information department of "Tourism Subtlety"
The capital of Jordan has been the city of Amman for many years, it is also the largest city in the country. In ancient times, in the 8th century AD, it was called Rabbath-Ammon, in the Hellenistic-Roman era (that is, around 200-100 BC) - Philadelphia. It was renamed to Amman only during the Hassanid era (5-7 centuries)

Then the city suffered a sad fate - because of strong earthquakes and natural disasters it was turned into ruins, which remained until 1887. Amman again rebuilt in all its present beauty only under the Ottoman Sultan, who decided to build the Hejaz railroad linking Damascus (the capital of Syria) and Medina (the holy city for Muslims in Saudi Arabia)
