The National Etruscan Museum in Villa Julia (Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia) is located in the building of the former summer residence of the Roman papacy of the 16th century, built for Pope Julius III (hence the name). The museum was founded in 1889 - there were antique finds from Lazio, Umbria and Etruria relating to Etruscan art. Then the collection was replenished with samples of Etruscan art and household items.
This museum is open daily from 8:30 to 19:30, except Mondays, January 1 and December 25. It is not allowed to carry out video and photography, the ticket price is 4 EUR, for pensioners and students - 2 EUR.
