The Federation of Hoteliers of Rome believes that the tourism sector of the Italian capital may suffer because of the famous local mafia. So, the representatives organizations note that many tourists send letters to them with questions about security in connection with the activity of criminal elements

The message from the Federation came after some officials from the city government of Rome were convicted of links with the Italian mafia th. Criminal cases were also instituted against a number of businessmen and politicians.

As a result of the investigation, the investigation committee found out that the mafia still plays an important role in many spheres of life in the Eternal City. The Federation of Hotel Owners, in turn, expresses concern about the situation, as tourists are afraid to come to Rome.
