The main historical areas of Venice: San Marco, San Polo and Santa Croce.
- San Marco (San Marco) - the city's most beloved by tourists, is dedicated to St. Mark's patron Saint of Venice. A large number of tourist sites are concentrated here, such as St. Mark's Cathedral, the Doge's Palace, etc.
- San Polo (San Polo) - one of the central areas, located between the districts of San Marco and Santa Croce. The main attractions: the Cathedral of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, the Church of San Rocco and the Church of San Giacomo di Rialto.
- Santa Croce is noteworthy because of the Grand Canal, which houses the Fondaco dei Turchi Palace, which currently hosts the State Museum of Natural History, and the Ca'Pesaro Palace with the Museum of Oriental Art and the International Gallery of Modern Art.

- Cannaregio (Cannaregio) - the northern part of the city. The area is not attractive for tourists. Main Attractions: The Ghetto and Madonna Dell'Orto Church
