Since July 15, 2005, a railway connection has been opened between Thessaloniki and Istanbul. Approximately 11-12 hours on the road. The cost is about 100 EUR in the first class and 50 EUR in the second. He departs from Thessaloniki daily at 19.48 and arrives in Istanbul at 08.07 am.
