The list of popular excursions around Munich opens an acquaintance with the Old Town: the famous Marienplatz, where the old and new Town Hall are located, the Gothic cathedral of the Holy Mother of God, better known as Frauenkirche (Frauenkirche). On the same or a separate excursion you can see the church of St. John of Nepomuk or Asamkirche, the church of St. Peter, which the Munich people call Alter Peter, etc.

Almost all tourists visit the Residence, the palace complex for representatives of the Wittelsbach dynasty, and museums located in it (including the Treasury).
