The island of Saint-Marguerite (Ile Ste-Marguerite) is the largest of the islands in the Leren Islands: it stretches from east to west for 3 km. Beautiful alleys plow pine and eucalyptus groves of St Marguerite, and in a small fishing village is a brisk trade. On the island there is a fortress-prison, in which one time there was a prisoner under the name "Iron Mask". Today in this fort there is the Museum of the Sea, as well as a diving center.
The island of Saint-Honorat (Ile St-Honorat) is all covered with dense vegetation - pines, laurel, flowers and vineyards. For eight centuries it belonged to monks who owned Cannes and the whole region. The order is still valid: you can see how the monks cultivate their gardens, and also visit local churches and try their popular Lerina liqueur.
