Helsinki International Airport is located in the suburbs of the capital city of Vantaa, almost twenty kilometers from the city center. All flights are served there. The second airport in Helsinki - Malmi - spare. Private aircrafts are planted here, as well as the skills of future pilots.

Two terminals, international (T2) and internal (T1) are next to each other and connected by a special transition. Transfer from the arrival zone to the departure zone in case of transfer is convenient for passengers

Helsinki-Vantaa is a remarkably equipped complex where you can find everything from cafes, bars and restaurants (most of the public catering works from early morning until late at night, but there are 24-hour cafes) to a mini-exhibition of contemporary art and photographs. Directly at the airport are two hotels (GLO Helsinki Airport and Hilton Helsinki Airport). Near the airport there are six more. It's easy to get there: a special free shuttle bus runs between the platforms in front of the terminals and hotels

Helsinki-Vantaa Airport

How to get to Helsinki center

Unlike many other international airports, you can reach the capital in only two ways - by taxi or by bus. A taxi ride to the city center will take about half an hour and will cost around 35-40 EUR

If the budget is limited, it is better to choose the bus number 615, which goes to the Central Railway Station in Helsinki. The stop is located near the exit from the terminal. It is necessary to buy a ticket for a regional ticket. For an adult, it will cost 4 EUR (from 2 nights to 4.30 am - 6 euros). For a child from 16 to 7 years - 2 EUR. The bus travels about 40 minutes, from 6 am to 1.00 am. After 21.00 the waiting time increases to half an hour

Another bus, but already Finnair, can also take to the station. True, the amount spent on the road will increase by several EUR. The travel time and timetable are almost the same as No. 615.

Helsinki Airport is located in Vantaa County, the capital of Finland. You can get here in two ways. Either from the train station on the Finnair Bus express bus for 6 euros, or from Tikkurilla station on the regular bus, next to the airport with all stops, but for 2 euros. The journey time from the city center is less than half an hour. Movement on schedule several times per hour. In the airport itself it is very easy to navigate, the terminal is small. The waiting area for flights departures is not so great, ... Read full review
