Fortress Toompea, Upper Town of Tallinn

In connection with a sharp decrease in the number of Russians coming to Estonia, the Baltic carrier Go Rail decided to reduce the number of trains to St. Petersburg.

From February 15, 2015 the number of trains running between St. Petersburg and the Estonian capital will be reduced to 2 per week. Earlier on this line, the trains ran daily. Now from Tallinn trains will depart on Fridays and Sundays, from the Northern capital - on Saturdays and Mondays.

In addition, since January 12, prices for tickets for trains from Tallinn to Moscow have fallen in price by 60%. The fare in the sitting car is 43 EUR, in the reserved seat - 64 EUR. The fare in the compartment car starts from 82 EUR.

Representatives of the Estonian National Railway Company hope that substantial discounts on tickets will help to revive the tourist flow in Tallinn.
