What to bring with you from Prague

My main task when traveling to Prague was, of course, to bring me back. Because I did not want to leave there categorically, despite the weather that had deteriorated on the last day of the trip. But after a while I can say that all ten extra kilograms of luggage were purchased by me for good reason (including those that were eaten by a delicious baked knee in honey sauce). Everything was appreciated, used or saved for the memory of the capital of the Czech Republic. Namely: Krotiki and Svejki. In the Czech Republic (however, not only in it), the hero of the Czech cartoon artist Zdenek Mihler is remembered and loved. In Prague you will find Krotik and his friends in the form of soft toys, as well as on all kinds of magnets, cups, T-shirts, postcards and even chocolates. By its popularity, this kid almost bypasses the brave soldier Svejk - a character invented by the Czech writer Yaroslav Hasek. Svejk, in turn, is often "made" in the form of charms and opener: men will like such souvenirs.

Cosmetics. From Prague, it makes sense to bring two types of cosmetics - based on water from the thermal springs of the spa resort of Karlovy Vary or on the basis of beer. Among the leaders of the cosmetic market in the Czech Republic are "Manufaktura" and a company with the spoken name "Khmelinia", whose beer balm for hair exceeded all my girlish expectations.

Alphonse Mucha. Calendars, notebooks, postcards, albums with pictures of this outstanding Czech-Moravian painter and designer can be found in any book and almost any souvenir. Of course, such souvenirs are for an amateur, but I am from them.

Magnets. Unfortunately, as often happens, most of Prague magnets are tasteless consumer goods, so do not rush to take the first one, even if it depicts the St. Vitus Cathedral itself. Avoid stores that have t-shirts with "funny" inscriptions on their input or huge racks with magnets - usually it will be uninteresting, substandard, designed for the inexperienced tourist products, and you are not such .I recommend to visit the shops of the network "Fan Explosiv", which in Prague are several (including in the center: Zlata Stupichka, 24), and also do not be lazy to look into small shops just a bit away from hiking trails - they often display their own Czech works handmade master .There you can find interesting postcards, handmade toys, decorations and much more .

Bohemian crystal and porcelain .Personally, I did not dare to carry crystal or porcelain in my luggage, but I stared, because I heard that the dishes from Bohemia - a niche demanded by tourists .Most of the products from Bohemian glass, sold on one shelf with beer mugs and magnets - cheap and tasteless .And yet it makes sense to visit the magical glassworks "Blue Prague", which exhibits a lot of elegant gizmos made of glass, including even jewelry, as well as a store of high-quality Bohemian crystal "Celestial crystal" and a huge "Pyramid Gallery" .Even if you do not dare to take something with you, it will remain a feeling that you visited the museum .Finally, in the tourist streets you can always find ceramic or porcelain jugs, teapots and cups, which will look charmingly as Prague souvenirs .

In the additional souvenir program you can also include the famous Czech puppets (which is characteristic, the better the puppet - the more expensive it is), the decorations with Czech pomegranate, Czech beer and other spirits (this is mainly about Becherovka) and just nice and interesting gizmos. I admit that most of the honestly earned money was spent by me in the "Comix Point" store, which is in the "Palladium" shopping center near the "Namnesti Republiki" metro station. Ah, unforgettable were the hours ...
