Prague is filled with tourists from May 16 to June 1, and local residents are beating already high records hospitality. For 17 days Prague becomes the capital of beer, hosting one of the largest and oldest beer festivals in the world

Probably, in no other city of the world such fabulous New Year atmosphere reigns, as in Prague. Undoubtedly, Paris, New York, London, Moscow and many other capitals are also beautiful, also drown in the lights of the illuminations and the splendor of the festive tinsel - but in Prague everything is different.
One of the most beloved seasons in the capital of the Czech Republic is the time of Christmas and New Year's holidays. The city is animated and transformed, turning into a shining kingdom of lights from garlands hanging everywhere and happy passers-by. The magic pre-holiday season begins on the night of December 5-6, the day of St. Mikulas, which Czech children love so much.
All the December in the city there are Christmas fairs: these markets with rows of wonderful painted gingerbread, amazing Christmas handmade toys, delicious sweets and fragrant mulled wine, the famous Bohemian glass are something absolutely fabulous. The fair in the Old Town Square is decorated with the main Christmas tree in Prague, and every year people are eagerly awaiting the evening when they will be able to see it, magical, sparkling and every time completely new.
A few days before Christmas (Vanoce) everywhere there are tents in which odayut live carp - this fish is traditionally considered the main dish of Christmas dinner. Christmas itself in the Czech Republic is a quiet and family holiday, the streets of the city are empty, people gather at home at large tables with their children and parents. But New Year's Eve is a magnificent and unforgettable sight: the townspeople begin to launch rockets and fireworks in the afternoon, squeezing themselves in front of a big night.

From February 20 to March 4 Prague becomes places a spectacularly bright carnival dedicated to the Czech Maslenitsa - Masopustu . Shrovetide festivities or Bohemian carnival - the show is truly fabulous: crowds of people in various carnival costumes are marching along the streets, carnival plays are played, masks competitions, balls and parades are held, and , of course, everyone dances, everywhere music sounds . Everyone can join this wonderful celebration, it's enough to have a suit with a mask .
