The cozy and quiet Austrian town of Mallnitz is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the valley of Mallnitzbach. For the years of its existence this ski resort managed to get to the list of "pearls" of Austria, and its slopes - to receive certificates of quality of the Carinthia region.
Another pride of Malnitsa - its transport accessibility - the railway station is in the resort town itself and connects it with domestic and international destinations.

Trails
The main ski slopes of Malnitsa are located on the tops of the Ankogel and Möltlaler Glacier mountains. The heights of the trails vary from 1200 to 3000 meters above sea level, and the winter season here opens during the Christmas holidays and closes by Easter.
At Ankogel 5 red, 5 black and 4 blue tracks are laid, on the slope of Melltaller-Gletcher - 6 red, 4 black and 9 blue trails .The total length of all routes on both slopes is more than 90 km .The longest descent (red - 3000 m) is on the slope of Ankogel and stretches from the very top to the lower mountain lifting station .The lowest point is at the level of 2100 m near the Schwarzkopf ski lift, where you can get to the Weisseehaus summit .The lift on the slope of Ankogel is divided into 2 sections .In the first, the route stretches from the starting point at an altitude of 1210 m to a mark of 1950 m at Mittel station .The second route connects Mittel with Hannoverhaus (2640 m) .
To the slope of Meltaler-Gletcher get on the ski-bass, and then on the six-seater lift Eusebahn, which arrives at a height of 2,800 m (here is the mountain restaurant Ice Lake). The way further upwards rises to a mark of 3122 m on the top of Sharek (Schareck). From the top of Hochwurtenspeiher to the station of Mallnitz is the observation train Klühspies.
The cross-country tracks of Malnica are considered to be among the best in Carinthia and have about 40 km of well-groomed roads in the surrounding scenic valleys. In Mallnitz, there is also the Tauernbad spa complex, a snowpark, snowboarding and freestyle zones, and several toboggan runs. In the city there is a Tauern pool, and next to the pool until late evening there is an ice rink (in the same place and skating rental).
At the foot, there are two ski schools (for adults and children) with the local hero Bobo - a fat penguin rolling on a short track along the slopes and entertaining beginners (in fact it is a school coach dressed in fancy dress).
