Aspena tracks
Aspen Mountain ski area includes the mountains od Aspen: the lower station of the gondola "Silver Quin" is right in its center. Above the city stands Mount Ajax - the ski area for the "pro". There are complex, steep slopes, hillocks and forest skating. There are well-prepared tracks for skiers of intermediate level. Beginners here have nothing to do: this is the only skiing area in America where there are no "green" trails.
But Buttermilk with its calm, wide slopes is quite "rolling" for neophytes and family skiing. Snowboarders there like the super-pipe and the world's longest fan-park with a length of 2 miles (by the way, Winter Extreme Games 2002-2004 were held in Buttermilka). Funny detail: the tracks for middle-level skiers are shown in black on the local map, but this means only that they are the most difficult in this region.
Aspen Highlands is suitable for skiers of any level, but most of all the area is still famous for its complex trails.
In Snowmass, the most extensive skiing region, there are trails for skiers of any training, but most of all they are for "middle peasants". There are special areas for teaching children. And for the boarders - two half-pipes and fan-park.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions Aspen
Not far from Aspen there is a place called Glenwood Springs. Once there lived Indians tribes, now it is a balneological resort with the world's largest pool on hot springs. Nearby are the White River Forest Reserve, the picturesque Glenwood Canyon and the Marun Lake
Children will enjoy Tube Town, on Mount Assay in Snowmass. For 15 USD there offer an unlimited number of descents and rental of tubing. In addition, Snowmass Center has a paintball center where you can shoot for 40 USD and Family Zone with special children's tracks, half-pipe and a picnic place in Trenchtown Park. In Buttermilke there is an entertainment center for children, a western-style fort.
Aspen has about 120 restaurants, more than 50 bars and cafes, 4 cinemas, about 10 discos and 40 art galleries. In Snoumass 20 restaurants, 15 bars and cafes, a concert hall, four galleries. Active entertainment: paintball, snowshoeing, dog sledding, indoor ice rink, sports complex, hockey ground.
