As a rule, the main question that disturbs all tourists is: how much to take money with? To relax, and go on a trip, maybe to a concert of some kind or an exhibition, trinkets to buy a memory and do not shake over every penny. On the one hand, I want to have a good rest, to remember for a long time, and try everything that is possible. And on the other hand, I do not really want to go home with a hole in my pocket.
Accommodation
What to choose: hotel, hotel, apartment or hostel? In general, accommodation in Kiev starts from 11 EUR per day. Well, almost to infinity. The cheapest options are private hotels and hostels, the most expensive rooms in "star" hotels are valued up to 300 EUR per day.
The prices for apartments start from 2, 5 thousand hryvnia per month or from 150 hryvnia per day (usually from 250), the room can be rented from 700 hryvnia per month.
Food
How much you are willing to spend for lunch or dinner, depends only on you, each has its own pricing and requests. In principle, the average check in the cafe is not very different from the Russian one - about 50 hryvnia (200 rubles). A good walk is possible and up to 500 hryvnia per person.

Transport
In principle, the transport system in Ukraine is similar to the Russian one, it is unlikely that our fellow citizens will be surprised. Each trip is paid separately - it is possible in the transport from the driver or conductor, you can buy coupons in kiosks at stops (the system is like in Russia) or a special card that is replenished through the machine for any amount.
The prices in the fixed-route taxi are different - each route has its own. Travel to the metro is paid by coupons. Prices are as follows: metro - 2 hryvnias, minibus 2-2, 50 UAH, municipal transport (trolley buses, trams, buses) - 1, 5 hryvnia.
Excursions
If you are going to Kiev, then you can not do without interesting excursions - this is not a beach holiday. You can, of course, go for a walk yourself, but it's easy to get lost, and who will tell you about this unique city better than a professional guide?
Local firms offer a wide range of bus excursions. For one trip, of course, you will not see everything. The shortest excursion for 2 hours for a small group (2-3 people) will cost at least 800 hryvnia. Accordingly, the larger the group and the longer the excursion, the higher the cost (up to 2400 hryvnia).
Museums and galleries
To come to Kiev and not to visit local museums is a waste of time and money. It is not necessary to attend all (and it is unlikely you will succeed), but the most interesting are: the National Museum of History of Ukraine, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Water Museum, the State Aviation Museum, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. @
The average entrance for adults is 10-20 UAH, for children it's a bit cheaper, for an additional fee you can book an excursion.
Souvenirs and gifts
Nobody wants to go home empty-handed. To buy souvenirs and symbolic knickknacks is not a problem - there are enough shops and fairs in Kiev. The most interesting and popular presents: embroideries, beer mugs and barrels for beer, caskets, nested dolls, embroidered tablecloths and shirts, carved woodwork, ceramic tableware with paintings and, of course, the famous Kiev cake.
In Kiev there is a unique place - Andrew's descent, which is also called the street-museum .This is one of the main tourist attractions of the capital and the ancient way connecting the Upper city, its central part, with the shopping Podol .Many famous figures of science and culture lived and worked in this area, and thus Andreevsky Descent became the cultural center of Kiev .It often hosts festivals, festivals, exhibitions and fairs, so if you are looking for something interesting as a gift, then you here .Here you will find antiques, collectibles and a variety of hand-made .
Entertainment
In Kiev, life beats the key, day and night. There are many places where you can have a great time and have fun.
Prices for entertainment are approximately the following: bowling - 150-250 UAH / hour, billiards - 70-80 UAH / hour, cinema - 15-50 UAH per session.
The entrance fee for nightclubs may vary depending on the institution and program or be included in the cost of drinks and meals.
Children's rest
If you came to Kiev with a child, then entertainment and attractions must be included in your budget. Parks, cinemas, circuses and zoos, dolphinariums, ice rinks and swimming pools - children's leisure is organized in the Ukrainian capital for 100%.
Prices for children's entertainment are as follows: circus - from 30 to 150 hryvnia, children's theaters - from 20 to 40 hryvnia, zoos from 15 to 25 hryvnia, dolphinarium from 70 to 90 hryvnia, swimming pools - 30-40 hryvnia, skating rinks - 20-40 hryvnia per session.
Children under three years, sometimes up to five, receive good discounts or they can generally be free.
If you try to at least roughly plan your spending on vacation, then, in a year or two, you can happily recall how well you spent your time in Kiev, and not how much you were taken in a restaurant.
