On weekends, the main street of Kiev is blocked for traffic. Walking along Khreshchatyk, peering into souvenir shops and cozy cafes, do not forget to raise your head and consider a bizarre combination of styles in the architecture of the buildings lined up along the street.

Europe Day in the European capital June 03, 2014

On Khreshchatyk, you must always come on a day off, because on weekdays it's just a business center of the city, and on holidays and weekends the main street of the Ukrainian capital turns into one continuous show. We were lucky to arrive on the day of Europe, which is being held in Kiev in mid-May. What was not here. And the dances of the peoples of the world, and orchestras, and entertainment performances, and sports competitions. There were a lot of people, but all this noisy crowd quite organically fit into this sunny ... Read the whole review

Since childhood I like to contemplate every New Year New Year's greetings of the President and fireworks on Khreshchatyk and the New Year's concert there. For me, the central street of the capital bears some charm, a mysterious attraction, especially its architecture. When I come to visit relatives, go to Khreshchatyk, where I like to spend my time.
We have favorite cafes, where we like to go and pass the time, ordering savory dishes. In the summer, when the heat does not allow to live, I prefer to take off my shoes and walk in the fountain area, water ... Read the whole review

The city of Kiev I visit several times a year, I travel there and go on tourist trips from Kiev to other countries. There is always a free time in the break between work and in front of the plane. I like to spend it, walking around the capital.
One of my most visited places is of course Khreshchatyk. Walking along it, I get a feeling that I'm walking along one of the streets of Europe. Maybe it's just a mirage. Most of all I like to first run along one side of the street, then on the other side of it and stare at the bright ... Read the whole review

Khreshchatyk beckons, Khreshchatyk is waiting, Kiev's guests are taken prisoner
The main street of the capital of Ukraine and the favorite holiday destination of visitors is ready to embrace everyone and none of its guests will make you bored. Moreover, on weekends it is possible to walk on it even on foot, at this time it is free from cars and becomes full of pedestrians.
On Kreshchatik there are cafes, restaurants, some of them in the warm season are ready to receive thirsty meals and beer procedures even in the open air so that they can ... Read full review

I have visited Kiev many times, this city attracts me to something. Perhaps, because I was studying here and lived for several years. I like to go out of the metro Khreshchatyk or Independence Square and walk for a few hours along Khreshchatyk. I always compare my watch by the clock that is located on the building of the National Association of Trade Unions, I also look at the weather forecast. If you walk further in the direction of the Institutskaya Street, the flowerbed also has a clock. The flower bed varies depending on the time of year, but ... Read full review

In Kiev - the capital of Ukraine, I flew in after a long three years of life in America! Of course, after America and the sightseeing in the USA, I did not expect that Kyiv would impress me .. However, I was very surprised and amazed by Kiev! Unfortunately, I was there only a little more than 10 hours, because I was traveling with a friend in Odessa to her mother. We immediately went to the metro station Khreshchatyk. Metro Kiev - very simple and easy, we easily found everything and quietly reached the square. Despite the fact that it was ... I just love Khreshchatyk! Despite the fact that I've been in Kiev many, many times, I still do not cease to admire this street, the way it is full of life, movement, people (if that, I come from Minsk, and so, those who visited on the main street of our quiet sepulchral city, they will understand why I admire Khreshchatik so much).
Especially I liked the innovation that made Khreshchatyk a pedestrian street on weekends. Of course, for city dwellers this may create additional difficulties, ... Read the whole review

The main street of Ukraine is not boring October 23rd, 2013

Many visitors to the capital of Ukraine keep their way to Khreshchatyk. After all, this is the main and one of the most interesting streets of Kiev.
After living in Kiev for several years while studying there at the university, I learned that, it turns out, most of the passers-by on Khreschatyk are not Kyivans, but visitors. Many Kyivans do not come to Khreshchatyk for years.
So what's so curious about Khreshchatyk that attracts many and many pilgrims visiting Kiev? Obviously not the buildings of ministries and departments, the television center, the National ... Read full review

Arrivals arrive several times a year to Kiev and, according to tradition, hang out with friends on Khreshchatyk near the monument of Ukraine's independence. In the cold season we go and talk about a cup of tea or fragrant coffee in the coffee house "Coffee House". It always prepares delicious hot drinks and cheesecakes, they give a flier with a discount for the next visit. I like walking on Khreshchatyk, enjoying the beauty of this city, its architecture. At the monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky one can see photographers who offer ... Read full review

If you have the blessing of destiny to visit the capital of Ukraine, then it will be interesting and instructive for you to stroll through the center of Kiev. Khreshchatyk - the central street of the Ukrainian capital, its architecture resembles the architecture of European streets. It is worth turning to such buildings as: TSUM, Kyiv Municipality, telegraph building, building of trade unions and to be convinced of it.
Walking along Khreshchatyk, you can go to other central streets, see their architecture and beauty. In spring and summer, the eye pleases the beautiful flower beds, compositions ... Read the whole review
