What are the opening hours of shops in the UAE?
Answer information department of "Tourism Subtlety"
UAE - the country is Islamic, therefore the day off here is Friday, which the Prophet Muhammad called sacred. Therefore, most retail outlets and institutions do not work on this day of the week, moreover, they close already in the second half of Thursday. In contrast, many large shops and markets stop working only for 2-3 hours of prayer, between 11.00 and 14.00. A number of large malls on Friday opens after 14.00-16.00, although on other days of the week their doors are open from 9.30-10.00 and until 22-23.00 without breaks.
Some shopping centers and shops with a smaller class and smaller ones close for lunch from 13.00 to 16.00 on weekdays, and family shops stop working around 20.00.
In Ramadan, the month of fasting, the operating mode of the stores is changing. Most of them open from 18.00-19.00 (after sunset) and continue to trade until 24.00. There are few, but still there are shops (usually not Muslims work there), working also in the mornings, from 9.00 to 13.00
