What to see over the weekend in Istanbul?
Responses information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
First of all, you need to at least skim the Sultanahmet quarter . Here, around the eponymous square, once the Hippodrome for chariot races, there are a lot of tourist sites . The Blue Mosque (aka Ahmediye) and Aya-Sofia - the Hagia Sophia Cathedral are opposite to each other . Behind the mosque is the Basilica Cistern (water reserves under the ground), and behind the temple is the Topkapi palace complex, the entrance to it is paid . Inspection of Bayazet Tower, Archaeological Museum, Suleym Mosque (there rests the famous Roksolana) on the opposite side from Aya-Sophia - at will . If there is shopping in the weekend program, visit the Grand Bazar (Kapaly Charshi) indoor market .
All Turkey in miniature for 10 TL can be see in the Miniature Park (at İmrahor Caddesi, 90). Be sure to allocate time for a water excursion around the Bosphorus and visit the Asian part of the city. For example, the area of Ukshudar, lying on the other side of the Bosphorus Bridge, where you can see another attraction - the Maiden Tower or Kyz Kulesi.
If you want for 2-2.5 days off, you can have time to see much or even all of this list!
