Excellent "European" airport September 23, 2014

Arrived at Ataturk Airport in April 2014. Even at the approach it was clear that the airport area is simply huge. We were transported by bus to the terminals, and we went for about 10 minutes, even drove through the cocoa hangar. Entering the terminal, the employee standing at the entrance, indicated where we should go to passport control. Which is very convenient, given that we wagged a lot.
In general, the airport staff were quite polite and English-speaking. They also know Russian, but not all. At the airport everything is strictly ... Read the whole review

Clearly tight for such a large number of passengers. July 10, 2014

. The airport of Atatürk completely corresponds to the city of Istanbul, in which it is located. It is also great, multifaceted and populous. In this multicolored crowd and in this vast space it is easy to feel lost, helpless and really get lost, but even at such a size it is clearly not enough for such a passenger traffic. Around the bustle, endless queues for registration and passport control, there are not enough clever pointers and information boards, critically there are not enough seats. Staff at ... So it happened that my daughter lives in Turkey now and I often fly to her place, flying 4 times to Ataturk airport, once to fly to Sabiha, that one, that the second airport is huge, Sabiha is newer of course, but in Ataturk chic duty free, I want to note that I liked the fact that on the second floor little restaurants were opened, with quite reasonable prices, flew once with my grandson, I managed to feed him there for the acceptable price. Another plus is the exchange of currencies around the clock, insanely convenient, so .. Read full review

In my opinion, Istanbul Ataturk Airport is one of the best in the region. It is fully adapted to the needs of travelers, it has everything you need for any tourist. We had time before departure, which we had pleasantly spent in a cafe located on the second floor before passing into the control zone. Here there are options and fast food (Burger King), and traditional Turkish cuisine. Prices, however, higher than in the city. The airport after all. You can pay with a credit card, because there are not many people before the flight ... Read full review

My favorite airport is June 05, 2014

I really love Istanbul and for me this city always starts with my favorite airport Ataturk. Even when you fly there, you can feel its power and beauty. There's a very big Duty Free and I do not even want to leave him on arrival. Near the airport there are a lot of taxis, which is very convenient. But you can fully enjoy this airport only when you leave from there or at least spend several hours in the transit zone. There, of course, prices in cafes are three times as expensive as in Istanbul itself, but you can get ... Read full review
