Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul is the largest airport in Turkey. It ranks 6th in Europe and 20th in the world in terms of the number of passengers. For example, in 2012 the passenger turnover exceeded 45 million people. The "Turkish Airlines" airline is based here.

Since 1980, the airport is named after the first president of Turkey. The air harbor is located in the European part of Istanbul, on the shores of the Marmara Sea. How to get here

The center of Istanbul can be reached by metro or bus. It is best to get to the Zeytinburnu station from the Havalimani subway station and change to the high-speed tram (line T1), which will take you to Sultanahmet, Eminoyun embankment, Galata bridge, Karakoy embankment and Kabatash quay.

The metro also provides access to the Esenler bus station. In addition, buses run from the airport to Taksim Square. Arrived at Ataturk Airport in April 2014. Even at the approach it was clear that the airport area is simply huge. We were transported by bus to the terminals, and we went for about 10 minutes, even drove through the cocoa hangar. In my opinion, Istanbul Ataturk Airport is one of the best in the region. It is fully adapted to the needs of travelers, it has everything you need for any tourist. I really love Istanbul and for me this city always starts with my favorite airport Ataturk. Even when you fly there, you can feel its power and beauty.
