Help, please, to outline the route of the most interesting and not very tiring independent excursions for a family of 3 people (2 adults and a child of 13 years). Do not want to be limited in time with the guides. We will stay at the Bella Vista Hotel, Monastir. We will be very grateful if you specify where it is more convenient to leave, on which the approximate cost. Thank you in advance!

From Monastir it's easiest to go to Sousse - on a minibus for 1 EUR per person or bus number 20 (and even less). The ride is no more than half an hour.
It is also convenient and quick to get to El Jem. Also on the shuttle bus, the cost is about 1, 5 EUR. There you can see the ancient Roman amphitheater and the archaeological museum. To the station of minibuses in Monastir from your hotel can be reached by taxi (payment by the meter, about 3 euros).
Another route to Mahdia. There are no direct minibuses from Monastir, but electric trains run along the entire coast from Monastir to Mahdia. Stop near your hotel, at the reception prompt. The fare is about 1 EUR. Trains are comfortable, I advise you to take 1st class
