Anfida-Hammamet International Airport is Tunisia's largest airport and the second largest in Africa after Johannesburg. The airport was built in 2009 in a small village of Anfida, located near the main tourist destinations of Tunisia - Sousse, Hammamet and Cape Bon. Enfida Airport (full name Anfida - Hammamet) is named after the nearest resort. The airport has become a part of the country's history and is even depicted on the reverse side of a denomination of 50 Tunisian dinars.

How to get here

Airport Enfida-Hammamet has a very convenient location .From it you can easily reach the main tourist areas of Tunisia .If you, for example, go to Sousse, then from the airport you can reach it by train, which leaves every hour and a half starting at 04:40 am .The same train also runs in the opposite direction .Buses run even more often .The taxi at the airport is only white, which means its increased comfort .Unfortunately, no more budget options are available .A taxi ride will cost you $ 5-6 and it will take about an hour .If your way lies in Monastir, you can reach it in 20 minutes by taking a taxi already in Sousse .It will cost about 15 TND (about $ 12) .

Hammamet can also be reached by bus. Route No. 106 departs from Enfid at 7:30, 8:30, 13:30, 17:30 (except Sat and Sun) and 19:30. If you do not have time by this time, it is better to take a taxi. The trip will take 40 minutes and it will cost 2-3 $.

At the airport Enfida visited during a visit to Tunis in 2014. It's nice that tourists from the plane to the airport building pass along the sleeve.
