"Khrap" can also be pronounced and separately, in which case it will mean consent ("yes").
The lifestyle of the island's Thais is conveyed by the expressions "May Pen Paradise" (approximate analogue "No problems") and "Ban Sabai" (a state of light-heartedness, close to nirvana).
One more thing worth exploring is the male and female gender. The male "I" is "phom", the female "chan".
