Which city is now the capital of Switzerland?

Responsible information department of "Subtlety of Tourism"
Switzerland consists of cantons, original autonomous regions, each of which has a main city. All these states are united by a common government into one single state, and their common capital since 1848 is Bern (Bern), the center of the same canton. It is the main city of the country, founded in 1191 by the duke of the Tsering family Berchtold V.

Nevertheless, the position of Bern is somewhat ambiguous: it is the political and actual capital of the country, here is the largest part of all sorts of government institutions (except for the Supreme Court in Lausanne) . But officially this status is not fixed and in the eyes of the Swiss it is only the center of one of the cantons in which the president lives, and there are official events for citizens and guests of the country.
