Transport Zermatt

Zermatt trails
The Zermatt ski area is divided into three large sectors. The mountain railway, built in the 19th century, includes Riffelalp (2209 m), Riffelberg (2,582 m) and Gornegrat (3,100 m). Sunnegga from Zermatt leads the "Alpine Metro" (Metro Alpin), then in a spacious car you can climb to the top of Rothorn (3103 m).
On the northern slope of Mount Stockhorn (3405 m) there is one of the most difficult skiing areas in the Alps, Triftji (2715 m). A series of cableways through the stations of Furi and Trockener Steg lifts into the third sector, to the highest mountain station Alp-Klein-Matterhorn (3885 m). There you can cross the border with Italy and test your strength on the Cervinia highways.
Professionals here will be seduced by complex virgin trails beginning at the upper stations, and the longest and most complex "black" descents in the Triftja area below Stokhorn. In Schwarzsee (Schwartzsee, 2583 m) there are interesting steep slopes, but they end with a long flat traverse in Furry.
The routes on the slopes of Gornergrat and Hohtali (3286 m) will suit the more experienced skiers. In Sunneg there is an excellent five-kilometer descent Kumme (Kumme), in Klein-Matterhorn - "red" tracks of sufficient complexity. For less experienced skiers, the "blue" slopes in Sonegga and Riffelberg are intended, as well as descents on the slopes from Klein-Matterhorn to Trockener-Steg. Those who have just climbed skiing in Zermatt will not be easy: there are no trails for the initial level of skiing here, and the blue routes are very complex and dangerous.
On the glacier Theodul is Gravity Park, the largest snow park in Europe with 200-meter super-pipe, half-pipe and other joys of snowboarders. On the glacier, you can ride in the summer - from an altitude of 3900 meters on the Small Matterhorn to 2900 meters from Trockener-Steg.
Alternative to mountain skiing here are 1, 2 km of carving tracks, 14.5 km of majestic trails, 10 km of cross-country tracks skis at an altitude of 1864 meters and 2, 5 km of a toboggan run.
