The Jungfrau is the third highest peak in the Bernese Alps and one of the most beautiful mountains in Switzerland. The snow-white Jungfrau and the nearby black mountain of Schwarzmenche became the basis for the legend of the unrequited love of a black monk for a young virgin, which every tourist arriving here will inevitably hear. The Jungfrau Top Region includes three peaks: Eiger (3,970 m), Monch (4099 m) and Jungfrau (4158 m).
On the slopes of this resort, thousands of skiers practice their skiing skills on an annual basis and snowboards, interspersing the snow with a cheerful apres ski. Winter sports lovers are attracted here by excellent skiing possibilities in seven zones of a large ski area connected by mountain trains, ski lifts, ski-bus and trails

Jungfrau trails
The resort unites three towns - Grindelwald ), Wengen (Wengen) and Murren (Murren). There is also a transport hub and a simply charming town of Interlaken, where all trains from the villages of Jungfrau arrive.
Adepts of cross-country skiing are waiting for more than 40 km of trails at the resort, of which 30 km are located near Grindelwald, 12 km - near Lautterrunnen and 2 km from Mürren.
The main 15 km long toboggan run of the resort goes along the route Faulhorn-Bussalp-Grindelwald, one more stretches for 6 km from Mannlichen to Holenstain. Another three kilometers of illuminated track go from Isenfluh to Lauterbrunnen
Wengen
Wengen is the Kleine Scheidegg massif (Kl61 Scheidegg, 2961 m) - Mannlichen (2230 m), dividing the area into two parts. This largest region in the region of skiing is ideal for "medium" skiers - neophytes the snow in the lower part of the slopes does not seem too comfortable, and the "pro" does not really have enough difficult trails. The experts will only be interested in the uppermost areas: with the Eigergletscher (2320 m) you can go down towards Wengernalp (1873 m), from there the chairlift lifts to Lauberhorn (2473 m)
But the main "hit" - Take the train to the summit of Kleine Scheidegg, from where you can go down to Wengen, then go up to Mannlichen and roll down to Grindelwald. Nevertheless, on Lauberhorn and Mannlichen even though there are steep slopes, most are still designed for relaxed slipping. The most famous in the whole Jungfrau district is the "black" Lauberhorn-Rennstrecke - hard and sometimes quite difficult: its length is 4250 m, the height difference is more than a kilometer
Feest
On the southern slopes the valley is the skiing area of the First (2168 m) - it's the most convenient way to get to the guests from Grindelwald. Trails start at Oberjoch (2501 m), their total length is about 50 km. There are nine lifts. Descent below the gondola lift from Fest to Bort (Bort) is quite risky. Above Fest, the slopes become more flat. Wonderful descent through the valley from the highest point of skiing - Oberjoch through Hohwald stretches for 10 km.
Everything for snowboarding
The Jungfrau district also enjoys a well-deserved popularity with snowboarders: for them at the intermediate station Schreckfeld (1955 m) built a half-pipe, and at the very top in Oberyokh - also a big fan park. Another fan park with half-pipe and a twister bar is in Mürren, and one half-pipe at the summit of Obere Hubel (2437 m)
Entertainment, excursions and attractions of Jungfrau

One of the most exciting excursions is the ascent to Jungfrau, the highest mountain railway station in Europe, called the "Top of Europe" 3454 m) . There will have to be picked up by train with two transfers in about three hours . The last section of the road is a pride of the Swiss: no other European country has a railroad laid on such high clouds . There are several a restaurant souvenir shop, Glacier museum and weather station . And, of course, an observation deck with a panorama of the Swiss and French Alps, from which even in clear weather you can see even Mont Blanc .
Another unforgettable trip upstairs is a 30-minute trip on the longest cable car in the Alps, "in the footsteps of James Bond" to the Shelthorn, where the first episode of the film "On the Secret Service of Her Majesty" was filmed. It is completed by a visit to the world's first rotating restaurant on the top of the mountain "Piz Gloria" (2,971 m).
