Engelberg trails
The resort has two separate ski areas. The first, recommended mainly for beginners and family skiing - Brunni zone (Brunni, 1860 m) on the northern slopes of the valley with a difference of altitudes more than a kilometer and five lifts: a cabin, a chairlift and three rope tows. There are 12 km of tracks (5 km of "red", 7 km of "blue") and educational slopes.
The second, the main ski area is to the south and has an interesting relief - first two huge steps-plateaus: Gershnialp (Gershnialp, 1250 m) with clamps and "blue" training tracks .Above is the even wider Trübsee (1800 m) with a frozen lake, from where you can climb in the cab to the rather difficult trails of the northern slopes of Titlis (the upper station Klein Titlis, 3028 m)) or the chair lift to the pass Yoch Jochpass, 2207 m) .From the pass you can climb the slopes of Jochstock (2564 m), descend along the slopes to the southern hilly and in places gentle slopes towards Engstlenalp or back to the north and quite steeply down to Trybsee .Altogether, the southern zone is served by 21 lifts, including one rail and six cabins, here 73 km of marked routes with a clear predominance of complex .A serious challenge, even for the "pro" will be the second, lower half of the three-kilometer route Rotegg (Rotegg) from Titlis, going through the glacier with cracks, steep and icy snowless areas .
Snowboard lovers here also have a place to turn around: Terrain Park with Halfpipes, Big Airs and a Quarter-Pipe near Yoch and the fan park on the Stands slope.
In the resort there are 41 km of cross-country skiing tracks, 45 km of pedestrian marked routes and three toboggan runs (elevation drop of 300 m, length of 2500 m).

The city has a sports center with indoor pool, solarium, tennis, badminton, roller and wall for climbers. In the evening guests of the resort are entertained by a casino, three discos, shops and boutiques, about 40 bars, cafes and restaurants in the village - plus another 20 restaurants in the mountains.

Developments
In November in Engelberg there are competitions of the world's leading snowboarders - Ice Ripper Style Trophy and Ice Ripper Snowboard Camp, at the end of December - European Cup for skiing at night .No less exciting spectacle - Speed Race at the end of December for those who can skate stylishly and at least stylishly fall .Dozens of skiers and snowboarders gathered near the Engelberg ski school, with the onset of darkness, begin to descend on the site where the jumpers from the springboard usually land .The distance is small, but the race is not as simple as it seems: one drop can cause a "domino effect" .In January and April, the resort hosts two other interesting events: Rolling Stones at Surfers' paradise and SAAB Salomon Crossmax series respectively .
