How to get to Halle
A lot of buses connect Halle with the resorts along the south-western coast of Sri Lanka. They leave the main bus station, which is located in the heart of the city, opposite the cricket stadium. Basically, from here you can go to Colombo (flight / air-conditioned 63/130 LKR, en route for three hours), Hikkaduwa (17 LKR, 30 minutes), Unawatunu (10 LKR, 10 minutes) and Mataru (26 LKR, en route 1 hour).
In addition, trains run from the train station to Colombo to Maradana station (2nd / 3rd class 108/58 LKR, 3 hours enroute) and follow express trains to Kandy (2nd / 3rd grade 217 / 115 LKR, 6, 5 hours on the way). Local trains connect Halle with Hikkaduwa (2nd / 3rd class 19/10 LKR, 30 minutes) and Matara (2nd / 3rd class 43/23 LKR, 1-1, 5 hours en route).

Entertainment, sightseeing and sightseeing Halle
Fort Halle, which is now in excellent condition, is one of the best-preserved colonial forts in Asia. Not far from Halle there is a turtle farm where the turtle eggs collected from the coast are brought, and later they release the hatched turtles into the ocean. Another important "must see" Halle - the rain forest of Sinharaja ("Lion King") is one of the few places on Earth where primitive moist forests have not yet been destroyed by humans. Rainforest is a biosphere reserve and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
From Halle, you can go on a jungle tour, jeep safari and horse riding, or a water sports and scuba diving club where you can enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, surfing, rafting, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing or fishing on the high seas.
