Mestalla Stadium

Architecture of the city
The oldest building in the city is the Holy Crypt of St. Vicente. This small chapel in the Visigothic style was used as a prison, but now the remains of the Holy are kept here. Tourists are invited to watch a documentary, which tells about the history of the city, the life of St. Vicente and his death.
The medieval Catholic cathedral of La Seo, executed in the Baroque style, was built in the 15th century on the main square of the city. On the south side, the cathedral is decorated with the gates of the Puerta del Palau, executed in the Romanesque style, with the north - the gothic gate of the Puerta de los Apostles, richly decorated with various sculptural compositions. The interior of the cathedral, like its exterior, is rich, it contains paintings by Palomino and paintings by Goya, and in the main chapel there are ancient frescoes by Fernando de Llanos, a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci.
The oldest building in the city is the Crypt of the Holy Martyr Vicente.
In the historical part of the city there is an octagonal bell tower Torre del Miguellet, whose height is 68 meters. In 1418 the same bell on the tower was illuminated. Today on the tower there is an observation deck, from where a magnificent view of the hysterical part of the city opens.
In the northern part of the city in 1398 the Torres de Serrano Gate was built. Two symmetrical towers connected together, performed when defensive function, in 1930 they were restored and now represent a unique architectural monument with a superb view. In addition, in the ancient tower is the Maritime Museum, which presents an unusual collection made by underwater archaeologists.
