Palma de Mallorca Airport, or Son San Juan Airport (or João, Aeropuerto Son Sant Joan), is the largest and most modern terminal in the Balearic Islands. Among the airports of Spain, it ranks third in size after Madrid Barajas and Barcelona El Prat.
The air gates of Mallorca maintain regular air communication with both the neighboring islands of the archipelago, such as Ibiza and Menorca (about 10 flights a day), and with other regions of Spain. To Barcelona from the airport of Palma de Mallorca, the planes depart twice per hour.

There are 4 terminals at the airport: A, B, C and D. Terminal B is mainly used for domestic flights, for international flights three others are used.

How to get here
Given that the airport of San Juan is only eight kilometers east of the center of Palma de Mallorca, it is easy to get to the capital. You can get to the city and back both by taxi and by public transport. For example, on the bus, following the route N17, you can ride to the city for 3 EUR. And sitting on the bus with the marking N1, the route of which passes through the bus station of Palma de Mallorca - the area of Spain, for only 2 EUR one can reach one of the most beautiful ports of the Mediterranean.
Public transport runs in different directions with a twenty-thirty minute interval. If you do not want to wait for a bus, you can always take a taxi, the trip costs 20 EUR, or you can drive a rented car. A lot of car rental offers are available right at the airport.
