Travel by public transport of the Spanish capital will be free for children under 6 years old. This was announced by the head of Madrid, Ignacio Gonzalez.

The politician said a pleasant news during the festive event dedicated to the two millionth passenger at the Madrid metro station Rivas Vaciamadrid. The commemorative passenger passed through the turnstile with a three-year-old daughter, who was given a symbolic card for a free trip.

It should be noted that previously only children under 3 years old could use the right of free travel in public transport of the city. A new benefit can be used by about half a million young passengers.
